The large size power-generation equipment consists of a lot of mechanical elements and has the features of complication in shapes, long production cycle, complication in process and high accuracy demand so that the general used CAPP can not meet requirements of its complicated process and dynamic production plan. Hence research on process planning method and development of special process planning informatization system for this kind of products play an important role in promoting the rapid response ability and improving the market competitiveness of national large size power-generation equipment enterprises.Process planning information processing system for large size power-generation equipment manufacturing enterprise is not only required to use computer to conduct the process planning of the complicated product, but also possess such functions as process management of process planning , process information resource management and information exchange and share with Product Data Management (PDM) system and Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) system. Hence it is a key issue to study process planning information processing system which incorporates process planning, process resource management, process documents management and process management of process planning to push the process informatization for large size power-generation equipment manufacturing enterprise.Based on the achievement of the following project: national 863/CIMS projects-"General Scheme Planning and Research on CIMS for Power-generation Industry" under GrantsNo.2001AA411150, Sichuan province's key science and technology project-"Research onNetwork CAPP system Based on PDM technology" under Grants No.00B038 and "Network Distributed Platform system for Process Planning and Process Management of Dongfang Steam Turbine Works (DFSTW)", this dissertation explains the study of the key technique of process management, process knowledge management, process knowledge acquisition method,case-based reasoning method and collaborative process planning and information sharing method in network adapting to process planning informatization for large size power-generation equipment and presents architechture of process planning informatization platform for large size power-generation equipment. Aiming at the practical requirements of large size power-generation equipment, "Process resource management & distributed CAPP tool in network (SCU-CAPPTool)" has been developed and demonstrated practically. The main research results and characteristic are as follows:(1) The idea of constructing process planning informatization platform towords the integration of process planning is presented, process management and information resource. Integrated architechture of manufacturing process planning information system is established based on multi-model process planning with manufacturing resource data as core, incorporating process planning, process resource management, process documents management and process management of process planning, which supports the construction of process planning informatization platform of enterprise under the circumstance of large size power-generation equipment manufacturing enterprise's informatization.(2) Aiming at the features of process planning process management of large size power-generation equipment, process planning process management theory is discussed deeply and systematically based on workflow idea. A knowledge-based workflow system model is proposed, which reinforces the adaptability of workflow management system (WfMS) for the changes in business processes. The frame structure and knowledge representation of the workflow model are discussed in detail. By using knowledge representation scheme and dependency predicates, a change propagation mechanism is provided to increase the soundness and flexibility of workflow system.
