As an important primary equipment in the power grid, 10 KV switchgear mainly realizes the load distribution of power net, the line outage and the power line protection. Once crack fault occurrence of the switchgears will damage the power supplying of the lower grids, even the safe operation of grids is in danger. Accompanying with the speeding up of smart distribution grid construction in China, it was significance in improving the maintenance mode of switchgear and perfecting function of smart distribution grid to study on the IED of switchgears state monitoring based on IEC61850 standard.At first, for the present stage of the switchgear surveillance program has no uniform standard, the ordinary trouble mechanism of the switchgear were analyzed as well as studied the fault state variables about switchgear in failure, and studied the state variables the of switchgear condition assessment according to the need of the maintenance. The application of the existing methods for monitoring the state variables conditions is contrasted through analysis, and then the appropriate technology of online monitoring of switchgear and complete the selection of sensor. In view of the insulating properties of switchgear, a whole set of design scheme was is proposed, and the design of monitor module is also presented.Secondly, using ARM + DSP structure completed the system hardware design, including the IED signal conditioning module, data acquisition module, data processing module, optical fiber Ethernet communication module and fiber B code receiving module. With the help of the modular structure scheme, system software was designed, including to achieve communication and man-machine interaction of ARM software, implementation status signal gathering and processing of DSP software and realization of optical fiber B code signal decoding of FPGA software; at the same time, each function module in detail analysis, completed the design of each function module but communication module. Analyzing the switchgear state values the amount of processing for determining the characteristic parameters extraction algorithm and the corresponding fault alarm threshold.This paper mainly studies information model and modeling method of IEC61850 standard, by extending the logic node, condition monitoring IED information model is established, including basic information model and service model. Using Altova XMLSpy software to complete the configuration of switchgear condition monitoring IED information model, get ICD configuration file of condition monitoring IED. The research on IEC61850 standard to MMS mapping, complete switchgear state monitoring IED information model and service to the MMS mapping, designed MMS server software module of condition monitoring IED, and complete the communication validation.
