| First, this article presents the latest development in the application and study of vehicle dynamics, the dynamic envelope of components in an automobile and CATIA secondary development technology. Then, with the force and torque in the load cases and the non-linear stiffness of the mounts, the virtual sample model of the power train is created. By the simulation, the coordinate values of CM point and other key points are obtained. For the traditional method in creating the envelope of the power train is inefficient and laying a high requirement on the computer quality, a method which plots out foursquare grids in coordinate plane is applied. It can simplify the envelope model with the guarantee of checkout precision. The main work of the article is shown as following:⑴Created the dynamics model of the power train. Based on the mounts system, a dynamics model of the power train with 6 DOF is created. The stress situation of the power train is analyzed, and the calculation method is given.⑵Simulated and analyzed the power train. Based on the dynamics model of the power train, the virtual sample model is created in ADAMS. With the simulation analysis, the coordinate values of CM point and mount points in the extreme position of every load case are obtained.⑶Created the dynamic envelope. A method which can simplify the dynamic envelope of power train is presented. It created the envelope with the surface features in the original model. This method improves the efficiency and reduces the requirements for the computer hardware. Compared the envelope created manually with the program results, verified the feasibility of the simplification.⑷The interference checking in the cabin layout. Added the dynamic envelope in the cabin model;then checked the interference with the use of checkout module in CATIA, verified the practicability of the envelope.The method mentioned achieved the purpose of creating the power train envelope rapidly. It provides strongly support for the interference checkout between the power train and the components surrounding, and speeded up the process of cabin layout, and shortened the whole development cycle. |
