This paper studies on Chinese listed commercial banks. We base theeffectiveness study on theories, such as Modern business theory and Corporategovernance theory. Considering the differences and particularities of governance, wedivided all Chinese listed companies into three groups, which are stated-ownedCommercial Bank, joint-stock Commercial Bank, and City Commercial Bank. Afterrevealing the status quo and problems of corporate governance of listed banks, operational efficiency are checked for further study. In the premise of protecting theinterests of minority shareholders, we select BLR and ROA as explanatory variables, and SPOCS, SR, BS, FR, IDR, MA, NOM, NOSC as the seven main influencingfactors, to test the operational efficiency of the influencing factors empirically. PolicyRecommendations are later given to provide support for promoting corporationgovernance of listed commercial banks in China. Here are the main conclusions:MA, NOM, NOSC have a significant impact on ROA which indicates corporateperformance. The coefficient also indicates that NOM conduct a positive impact onROA. The influence of MA on ROA shows an inverted U-shape. NOSC have asignificant negative impact on ROA. The other variables do not have obviousinfluence on ROA. Specifically, SPOCS, IDR, FR, and ROA do not have ansignificant correlation. However, the coefficient tells us that SPOCS, FR, tend toinfluence ROA positively, while the IDR, BS, tend to influence ROA in a negativeway.
