| Since ancient times. China is an major power on agriculture, which made the country prosperous and stable. As the saying goes, with the thriving of the culture, the state could keep settled. With the development of economy, as the important part of the national economy, agriculture underwent a process, from traditional to modern, extensive to elaborate, and single to integrated. During the process, developing the modern agriculture has become the basic approach that enhanced the comprehensive production capacity of agriculture and increased both production and income of the peasant. Xigaze, the important district of agricultural development in Tibet, is the main producing area of the grain and products of animal husbandry in Tibet. Agriculture is not only the first industry but the most fundamental and general one. Therefore, to most of the peasants and herdsmen, the key of saying goodbye to poverty, having enough to eat and wear, stepping in well-off level, even overall well-off, is speeding up the development of modern agriculture, ensuring the supply of agricultural products quantity and quality, increasing peasants" income, and promote the sustainable development in this region.According to the present conditions of traditional agriculture in Xigaze area, the paper, based on the actual scientific analysis of the existing problems in the development of agriculture in the region, restriction factors and development potential, etc., elaborated in detail the historical opportunity of transforming traditional agriculture to modern agriculture, the necessity and urgency. On this basis, through a large number of research and referencing the theoretical concepts and academic achievements on the development of modern agriculture, the paper puts forward the strategic choice for modern agriculture development in Xigaze, specific measures and safeguard measures, as the reference of research framework and theory of enlightenment on modern agriculture in Xigaze. |
