Auto industry is associated with obvious high scale, important capital andtechnology-intensive industries. In the1980of the20th century, the changes of autoIndustrial spatial structure have taken place in the forces of the market and theglobalization under the combined effect of significant in China. Academic study ofthe auto industry already has some success, for a study on the spatial evolution ofthe automobile industry at the regional level, are hardly touched upon.This paper analyses the current overall situation of development of China’sautomobile industry, arguing that in a State of continuous development of China’sauto industry overall, cluster regions main position as the auto industry’s continuedconsolidation. Judging from the spatial distribution, provinces and gradually increasethe degree of specialization corresponding to geographic concentration of"diffusion-diffusion-set" wave. Rapid development of Beijing-Tianjin-Tangshan regionin the East, the Yangtze River Delta PRD stable; polarization evident in the Northeast,West polarization of strengthening. Under spatial polarisation in East Central andnortheast of diffusion, spatial polarisation in only in the Western region, accordinglypresents spatially "polarisation-diffusion" phenomenon, little fluctuation in thetransition process--Chongqing, Hubei has better development compared with theother provinces and cities. Areas of spatial differences in the characteristics ofunbalance caused total auto industry spatial layout. As of2010, has formed six largedomestic automotive industry cluster, this paper build overall strength evaluationsystem for automobile industry, reveals the endogenous comparative advantage andexternal resource endowment and the intrinsic relationship between the structure ofthe car industry in the province, and the15provinces in the sample of the describeddevelopment of the auto industry.
