In the period of the Chinese social transition,"the new generation of private entrepreneurs", being an emerging group of social structural change, will shoulder the important tasks of promoting social development and stability. The meaning of the research on the growth of "the new generation of private entrepreneurs" is that we can summarize the regularity of their growth to make more emerging private entrepreneurs promote the development of Chinese economy.Based on the internal heterogeneity of the new generation of private entrepreneurs, the author divides them into inheriting type and entrepreneurial type. And then, according to the economic foundation of growth; the author divides the entrepreneurial type into direct ones and indirect ones. The research on the growth of "the new generation of private entrepreneurs" is made up of two branches:one is the research on the growth of the inheriting type, which mainly accumulates their spiritual wealth; another is the research on the growth of the entrepreneurial type, which mainly accumulates material wealth. The respective researches, on the aspects of economic capital, social capital and personal capital, have come to a conclusionr(1) inheriting type and indirect entrepreneurial type have more economic capital and social capital than direct entrepreneurial type. The growth of the former twos has the direct relationship with economic capital and social capital, while the growth of the latter one has strong ties to the ability of seeking and utilizing the hidden resources in social capital. Furthermore, the imagination of market opportunity and the aspiration of self-change in personal capital play a key role in the growth of all of them.
