Among them,"country city" plays the role as connecting the metropolis and town as a basic element. Its urbanization is not only affected by influence and radiation of the core area, but contains the factors of the local urbanization. The gathering and re-distribution of the population of the "country city" population, further promotes the rapid development of the county urbanization and its urban system. This paper selected City of Taicang, located in the Yangtze River Delta region, as the research object, the proposed relationship from the process of urbanization, industrialization, non-agricultural and urbanization relations, economic urbanization, land urbanization and population urbanization; strata of the urban system-distribution of spatial structure, urbanization township; source of urban population growth, migration and urbanization, urban system, the development of the regional system generalizes the county urbanization characteristics. Second, the town system gradually transformed from "bipolar" to "balanced", the spatial distribution of urban system dispersion is strengthening. Town located near Shanghai is highly affected by Shanghai’s radiation. Third, household population of Taicang grows slowly. Migration is the only driving force, migration contributed to the development of the national urbanization interregional population migration to optimize the allocation of resources in the Yangtze River Delta cities to further promote the improved level of the hierarchy of the Yangtze River Delta region. Fourth, the driving force of urbanization could be divided into top-down government driving force, the bottom-up driving force and external driving force.
