During the past few years, China’s medical device industry has witnessed rapid development, with annual growth rate reaching double-digit. However, there’s still a huge gap between China’s medical device industry and that of developed countries, indicating that former still boasts capacious development space. As a household medical device manufacturer, it is of pivotal importance for Company A to grasp the splendid industry growth opportunity, combine its own resource and capabilities, give full play to its strength, and draw up development strategy in line with its state of affairs, so as to realize its long-term, stable and sustainable development in the increasingly complex dynamic competitive environment.This paper exploits the theories and methodologies of dynamic competitive, and conducts a detailed research on the strategy formulation of Company A. First, based on the literature review of dynamic competitive strategy theories, this study raises the analysis framework of dynamic competitive strategy. Second, this paper points out the key factors influencing Company A’s strategy choice through analysis of both its external and internal environment. Last, founded on the above analysis, this paper figures out the general rule for Company A’s strategy formulation, elaborates its strategy choice in terms of market positioning, strategic positioning, strategic goal, organization design, business model, corporate culture, competitive strategy, manufacturing strategy and marketing strategy, and points out the risk factors that may crop up during the implementation of the strategy along with the control schemes.
