The 21st century is the century of cooperation and development. With the deepening of economic globalization and the strengthening of regional economic integration, many countries and regions seek for regional cooperation. As a region with large emerging economies and traditional economic powers, Asia-Pacific region is expected to become a new growth pole of the global economy and in the post-crisis era because of technical reserves and resources. Currently, there are a large number of Asia-Pacific economic cooperation frameworks, which will bring lower tariff barriers and more complex free trade agreements. As a result of overlapping free trade agreements, trade liberalization is inefficient and unequal.TPP’s predecessor was the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement, which is far smaller than TPP. The United States joined in this cooperation framework in 2008. In the following year, the Trans-Pacific Strategic Economic Partnership Agreement was assigned a new to "Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement" (Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, TPP). TPP became an important regional cooperation framework of the Asia-Pacific region after US joined in. A large number of countries to join the TPP negotiations followed by US. Japan announced to join the TPP negotiations in 2010. Obviously, as China’s third largest trading partner, Japan will affect the development of Sino-Japanese bilateral trade and the China’s economic transformation by joining in the TPP negotiations. Then many scholars study for this affect. However, all relevant studies on the impact of Japan joining in TPP negotiations are supported by numerical simulation methods or the data before Japan join in the TPP negotiations, which are not using the relative data after Japan joined in the TPP negotiations and empirical analysis methods. Therefore, on the basis of the researching of relative literature and data, this study analyzes the impact of Japan joining in the TPP negotiations on the Sino-Japanese trade by comparing the structure of trade between China and Japan. Then this paper builds the trade gravity model about Sino-Japanese trade analyzes it by Econometric methods based on the relevant trade data before and after Japan joined in the TPP negotiations. The result shows that Japan joining in the TPP negotiations really has structural impacts on the Sino-Japanese trade. At the end, this paper concludes China’s countermeasures.
