In recent years, there has been difficulties and stagnation in the development of the internal organization APEC,coupled with the blocked of WTO multilateral trade negotiations. For the sake of their own interests,APEC member countries have signed a number of bilateral or multilateral free trade agreements (referred as FTAs).Initially launched by four small countries inside APEC organization,Chile,Singapore, New Zealand and Brunei,TPP attracted the world attention because of the United States declared to join in.TPP’s expansion will have great influence in economic integration of East Asian and significant impact in economic, political, security and regional strategy. Thus, it has a very important practical significance to study the progress ofTPP and its impact on China and put forward China’s countermeasures. This paper first introduces the research background, including the status quo and development trend ofTPP study in mainland and abroad. The second part of the article describes the main contents of theTPP, the main characteristics and development processï¼›TPP requires high standards in technical barriers of trade, sanitary, competition policy, intellectual property, government procurement, dispute resolution and labor and environmental protectionï¼› Then introduces the foreword topics andTPP expansion issues and obstacles. Since there are obvious differences in the level of economic development and culture between those countries, and with numerous stakeholders’ issues, the negotiation process was not successful. There is a big difference in the framework ofTPP agreement, agricultural products, intellectual property protection and other areas. The part IV analyzes the influence to WTO due to the development ofTPP and the impact on other preferential trade agreements in the region of Asiaâ€Pacific and Chinaï¼› Finally, To cope with the possible influence ofTPP, I proposed some suggestions, including adjustments to the strategy in the Asiaâ€Pacific free trade zone, and actively promote economic and trade with ASEAN cooperation. |
