In recent years,there is a lot of problems existed in iron and steel enterprises in China, for example, excess capacity, frequent trade friction since increasingly exports to the US. Especially since the financial crisis, this kind of phenomenon shows a growing trend. This strategy caused serious negative influence on the development of iron and steel industry in China. So the research about Sino-US trade friction problem not only has theoretical significance, but also has strong practical significance.First of all, this article did a lot of research about the related literature and historical materials at home and abroad, analyzed the present situation of steel products trade friction of China and the United States, found the key types of trade friction characteristics and development trends as well as the negative impact of the development of China’s iron and steel industry. Secondly, in combination with trade friction related international trade theory and the present situation of the economic development of China and the United States, respectively from the international economic environment, this article analyzed the Sino-US steel trade friction causes through three aspects: the United States, China three aspects and took the empirical analysis approach to the reason of trade friction using regression model. Thirdly, in order to deal with steel products trade frictions, we took mature Baosteel as an example, analyses strategies of Baosteel, pointed out its disadvantage, put forward some enlightenment to cope with the steel products trade friction. Finally, on the basis of the above analysis, put forward the strategies of the Sino-US trade friction of China’s iron and steel industry, namely, advance, matter and afterwards strategy.
