A Study On The Transformation Of Government Function In The Development Of Rural Tourism

Rural tourism has always enjoyed the laudatory title of green and smokeless industry.Guazhou, a town located in Yangzhou city, is abundant in tourism resources. With more than 1700 years of history, Guazhou has a colorful culture. Here transportation is convenient, and resources are rich. As the pioneer as well as the change agent, the government bears the responsibility of regulating, exploiting, protecting, promoting and supervising the development of rural tourism. Nowdays, to develop rural tourisim, it’s of utmost urgency to optimize the government functions. This paper will study the transformation of government functions in rural tourism in Guazhou. To be specific, based on some related theoretical konwledge of public management, this paper will start from the perspective of transformation of government functions to explore the current situations, problems, reasons of rural tourism in Guazhou as well as the measures that should be taken by the government. To make it, various methods will be adopted, like investigation, literature review, on-the-spot visits and so on. With all the efforts made, this paper hopes to make some positive contributions for the scientific, healthy and lasting development of rural tourism in Guazhou under the regulation of the local government.
