A good ecological environment was the basis for the survival and development of human society as well as the necessities of society, economics and culture. The importance of a good ecological in tourism has been increasingly recognized. On the one hand, ecological environment can be an attractive factor for tourists, which has been an essential force for the development of sightseeing cities. On the other hand, tourism would destroy the ecological condition and then influence the value of the whole ecological service. With the continuously increased population and productivity, people’s need for the spiritual culture was continuously improving, which helped the rapidly development of tourism. The pressure of the tourism’s growth has excess the capacity of the eco-system in sightseeing place, which leads to the increasingly serious environmental problems. People were driven to find a reasonable, harmonious and sustainable way due to the pollution and damage made by tourist activities to the environment.This article try to apply the DPSIR model to the system of ecological compensation and evaluation. First of all, based on the DPSIR, the target of ecological compensation contains five conceptual dimensions. They were driving forces, pressures, conditions, influences and responds. Secondly, select index factors according to the concept of each dimension. Finally, establish a completely index system based on the fundamental of index selection and give advises.The conclusion of this article was that in order to bring the mechanism into being, there should be a combination of a healthy ecological compensation system, scientific government and a completely supervision system. Every member should realize its rights and duties when participate in as well as promote the diversification of compensation methods. Contrived intervention should be strengthened to mitigate the resistance in the development of compensation policies. That would ensure the sustainable development of environment in tourist destination area.
