| Yunnan Province is an important province in western area of China. Its excellent geographical advantage and regional advantage made it characteristic economic form. At the same time in resource endowment and pillar industry, Yunnan province has the advantage of development in the five pillar industries, which are tobacco industry, tourism industry, mining industry, energy industry and biological industry. The correlation between Yunnan province economy and pillar industry is what stated blow are. These industries occupy the proportion of the overall eco nomy greatly. They have deep influence in the economic operation and they work through the development of the first, the second and the third industry. These industries also deeply influent the allocation of resources, population, employment, income distribution, social demand and other macroeconomic indicators in growth. These pillar industries also contribute a large proportion of provincial fiscal revenue. Study on the relationship between the good macroeconomic development and pillar industries, will help Yunnan province specifically measure more explicit economic development and the direction of development of industrial economy. It is practically significant both for the overall economy and the industry development.This article chooses the combination between the macro-economy of Yunnan province and the pillar industries as the breakthrough point. The establishment of a set of comprehensive statistical indicator system associating can reflect the macroeconomic development and the development of provincial pillar industries. First of all, use the quality macroeconomic development system to analyze the economic development level of the province, in order to obtain the development status of the macro economy; then according to the index system of pillar industry, analyze the status of five industries’ development and the existing problems from the perspective of industrial economics. Comprehensive evaluation of macro economy, pillar industries and the combination of the two are beneficial to macro-economic stable, coordinated and sustainable development, the balance of finance and taxation, and improvement of pillar industry competitiveness. Finally all these recommendations will works on future economic development of Yunnan province.There are eight chapters in this paper. The first chapter explains the research background and the significance of this study, clarifies the theoretical framework, writing logic, the research methods and the structure of this paper. The second chapter is the literature review of relevant research about both macroeconomic indicators system and development of pillar industries. The third chapter mainly introduces the index system constructed in this paper relates to the macro economy and a pillar industry and obtain the numerical index and the weight of the index system. The fourth chapter uses the index systems of macroeconomics in the system to give comprehensive evaluations on aspects of economy. The fifth chapter uses the pillar industry of the index system to give comprehensive evaluations on the developing situation of tobacco, tourism, energy, mineral, biological pillar industris and the existing problems. The sixth chapter is about the macroeconomic policy recommendations, according to the comprehensive evaluation of the current situation of economic development problems and the pillar industry in the fourth chapter, and put forward to the constructive and practical suggestions for development. The seventh chapter is to give practical recommendations proposes the development strategies to each industry, combined with the comprehensive evaluation of macro-economic development at the sixth chapter.
