In recent years, with the continuous development of logistics industry in our country, the competitive of logistics market is more diverse increasingly, at the same time, with the urban ecological environment destruction and the deterioration of traffic conditions, the enterprise demand for logistics services is also more strict. In order to adapt to changes in the environment, enhance market competitiveness, logistics enterprises need to concentrate more manpower、 material and financial resources, optimize the distribution system, coordinate urban logistics activities. Through qualitative and quantitative way, structure the logistics distribution scheme based on the joint distribution.Firstly, this research explained the concept and characteristic of joint distribution of urban logistics, then elaborated the operation mechanism of joint distribution,and expatiated the problems of joint distribution.Then summarized the vehicle routing optimization problem,specified the definition of vehicle routing optimization problem, and classified path optimization problem.Furthemore,put forward the cat swarm optimization algorithm,elaborated the search process of cat swarm optimization algorithm,and explained mathematical description of the algorithm.Finally, the paper introduced a case which 5 city distribution centers distribute for 19 sales outlets jointly in a certain area of city T. Through setting the joint distribution condition, established the urban joint distribution route optimization model,and then adopted cat swarm optimization algorithm to optimize the joint distribution path of the model,finally to optimize the joint distribution path of sales outlets in the area, so as to verify the cat swarm algorithm can simultaneously do global and local search in the process of evolution,and the search speed have good convergence.
