Research On The Management Mode Of Jiangsu Electric Power Company

Unstable environment makes it a routine practice for firms to change their management mode. The important role the power companies play in national economic and social development makes it to be of great significance for the research on the management control mode of power companies. Due to the key role in the national grid system of China, it is of strategic meanings for the innovation and improvement of the management control systems of grid corporations at province level. So this research chooses the management control mode of Jiangsu Electric Power Company as the topic, which is one of the largest corporation and the most advanced management system in the national grid system.The main research methods in this research included document (text) analysis, deep level interview, international benchmark and brain storm.After defining the concept of management control mode, this dissertation introduces three main types of management control mode. Based on the model of important factors which influences the designing of management control mode, this research analyzes the main factors of Jiangsu Electric Power Company, which includes strategic environment, corporate strategy, the advancement of technology and the unique character of core business, and this analysis provided a strong base for the development of the main principles of management control system.Based on the advantages of former management control mode, the dissertation analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of new management control mode. Combined with the conclusions of the benchmarking, the research proposed the basic principles of management control mode designed for the company. The dissertation also designed the strategic steps to improve its present system.
