Study On The Development Of Yunnan Small Towns Based On Tourism

The development of small towns and construction has been brought to the attention of the academia and research since modern China. In the early days, from Mr Fei xiaotong’s academic research, it has been rise to a national level political strategy now. There have many development modes of small towns’ development in Yunnan province. Mainly concentrated in the industrial development as the guidance, the border open oriented, tourist oriented, processing and foreign trade oriented and so on. As our country’s emphasis on new town’s construction, and give up for the sole purpose of economic development of urbanization, pay more attention to protect the urban environment has become a current requirement for new type of urbanization’s construction and goals.This paper base on the theory of environmental sociology, chose travel as the guidance of the small cities’development for research. Natural tourism resources and national cultural tourism resources is very rich and varied in Yunnan province. The development of tourism-oriented small towns has its solid foundation. This paper collected about the history and current situation of urbanization in Yunnan province, trimming the data of Yunnan province’s tourism income, researching the theme of tourism-oriented small towns, summarizing abundant tourism resources in Yunnan province, through analysis the two success cases of tourism-oriented small towns-Lijiang and Davos, using field research method to summarize the problems existing in the tourism development in the city. Finally, give some suggestions and countermeasures for developing sustainable tourism-oriented small towns.
