The New-Type Urbanization is the product at the certain stage of China’s urbanization development, which regards all-round development of human being as the core factor and covers many fields like economy, society, ecology. The paper starts to inspect the historical process of China’s urbanization development first, which proves the inevitability of the route of selecting the new-type urbanization. In the next part, it analyzes the characteristics and status of urbanization development in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Then it explores the problems and reasons of the new-type urbanization in Guangxi and finds the key influential factors in the route of selecting by econometric test. In the final part, it suggests that pluralistic development routine should be designed for new-type urbanization in Guangxi under the protection of related institution in order to promote the overall economical development. Some conclusions were made in this paper:1. As the coastal, border area, and the western province, Guangxi possess a certain particularity with more regional and cultural features in the process of the urbanization. It’s better to follow the different regional development characteristics. It’s better to ensure the safety of the ecological environment and advance the economic agglomeration, transfer the population and undertake the industry tasks at the same time.2. The government function is always the main influence factor in the process of the urbanization in Guangxi. Urbanization is always consistent with national macro policy and Guangxi’s development strategy. However, because of the cooperation of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and the Pearl River Delta Economic Zone and the Greater Mekong Sub-region, the market begins to play an active part in urbanization. Therefore, the proper entry of the market and the government’s proper IV exit is inevitable trend in the route of selecting the new-type urbanization in Guangxi.3. There are huge regional gaps in the development of the new-type urbanization in Guangxi. The design of the route is closely related with the local resources and environment, social and economic development, regional conditions and government policies. In the theoretical and realistic analysis, it is better to draw lessons from the relevant successful experience. Using a variety of specific development methods to promote the selection of the "multivariate and coordinate the efficiency with fairness" path of urbanization in Guangxi. And in specific implementation process, give full play to the decisive effect of the market and the macro guidance of the government.4. System innovation is an effective guarantee for the new path selection of urbanization in Guangxi. Since the system design did not hit a deep reform, the new-type urbanization in Guangxi did not go smoothly. Thus, it is necessary to build an efficient and fair system which focus on the service in the new urbanization development to eliminate the urban-rural binary partition system so that Guangxi can realize a rapid urbanization development.
