The oscilloscope is commonly used in the field of electronic measurement instrument. It can accurately capture and display the signal. And it also can analyze and observe complicated signal. But with the rapid development of electronic technology, DSO( digital storage oscilloscope) gradually can’t satisfy the measurement requirements of the tester. DPO(fluorescent digital oscilloscope) with the advantages of analog oscilloscope and digital storage oscilloscope arises at the historic moment. But the current domestic DPO development level is not as good as abroad. This paper will describe the principle of fluorescent digital oscilloscope. And according to the objective of the design demand, put forward the design architecture of software and the design and implementation of specific function in this paper.This paper mainly discourses the software system design of 10 GSPS DPO. DPO using parallel processing architecture and software collaborative hardware together to complete the signal acquisition, channel control and waveform analysis provides high waveform capture rate and complex waveform analysis function. Design of software in this paper mainly involves the following:1. System overall software design. Through the analysis of the demand of the function of system software, perfect the system key resources allocation analysis and complete the whole system software system design.2. Data acquisition and control module. This module research in Software implementation of control and correction of ADC, the scope of the oscilloscope trigger and trigger related concepts and data acquisition.3. The channel control module. Measurement signal to be measured first go through the part of the channel, through the analog channel to deal with the signal conversion, and then sent to digital circuit parts, this part is mainly to configure channel basic configuration, offset and gain adjustment.4. Data processing module. Data processed by channel control and data acquisition module will be sent to DSP to analyze and process. The data processing module mainly includes the parameter measurement module, the cursor function, various mathematics operation and so on.In this system, the software design uses the modular programming method and the object-oriented method to realize the safe and flexible data encapsulation and the good inheritance, which brings convenience to the software system debugging and the promotion. In the end of the paper, the whole DPO software system is tested.The code is debugged and optimized in order to meet the requirements of the hardware of the 10 GSPS DPO.
