Waveform recording function is an important analysis function of digital storage oscilloscope, it can continuously store the waveform in a long time to facilitate the subsequent correlation analysis. Because of its single recording speed, the storage of small number of the pictures, the existing software waveform recording technique is not sufficient to meet the needs of the development of modern electronic testing technology. Therefore, using the characteristics of FPGA processing speed and using DDR3 SDRAM as memory, this paper proposes a waveform recording technology based on hardware scheme.In this paper, the storage space is divided into a number of equal size segments. In each segment, it triggered and stored the waveform data of the hardware waveform recording program respectively. The design and implementation of multi stage variable depth subsection storage technology based on digital oscilloscope is discussed in detail. In addition, this paper designs and implements the hardware analysis function of waveform by using high speed FPGA. Using the hardware to realize the waveform of the Passfail test and track testing and other analysis functions, it can improve the speed of waveform analysis greatly.The main work and innovation of this paper are as follows: 1、It realized the function of segmented storage technology of waveform. In this paper, based on the large capacity memory DDR3, it realized the function of multilevel variable depth of segmented storage, and realized the maximum storage of 2GB and the maximum number of recorded waveforms of 200 thousand segments.2、It implemented the waveform pre-trigger function in the DDR3 SDRAM. It imitated the reading and writing characteristics of FIFO in DDR3, and realized the function of pre trigger in DDR3, which lays the core and the most critical foundation of the segmented storage.3、Researched on Passfail test and Trajectory test. In this paper, the waveform analysis function of the software is completed by the hardware in the digital oscilloscope. By using high speed FPGA to create a template, comparing the waveform, to realize the function of waveform analysis. Based on the FPGA, hardware waveform analysis function can reduce the time of waveform analysis, which can improve the efficiency of the test.Based on the task of this paper, the efficiency of the test is greatly improved, and the waveform data storage and analysis of the low duty cycle signal with high sampling rate is well solved.
