| Streptococcus suis is a common zoonotic infectious germs which can cause a variety ofdiseases of human and swine. At present, the serotypes of Streptococcus suis are numerous, sothe diseases that it causes mainly depends on the antibiotic treatment, and factors such as theunreasonable use of antibiotic in clinicl and the horizontal transmission between strains lead tothe appearance of resistance of Streptococcus suis and multiple drug resistance ia serious. It notonly brings difficulty to control and treat diseases, but also exacerbates the residue of antibioticin animal meat and milk products, threats the safety of animal food and what,s more, it,s easy tomake a resistance gene to be transferred to people by food and then make the treatment ofhuman diseases become a thorny problem. Therefore, the pharmacological experiment methodand the extraction and purification methods of Chinese medcinal herbs applied in the experimentto filter Chinese medcinal herbs which can restrain streptococcus suis, and combined withantibiotic. It can not only plays long-lasting and broad-spectrum antibacterial effect of Chinesemedcinal herbs, also highlight the characteristics of antibiotics whose pesticide effect are rapidand effect are obvious. Ultimately flavonoids and saponins of Trichosanthes kirilowii maxim wereobtained.To determine minimum bacteriostatic concentration (MIC) of ciprofloxacin and extract ofTrichosanthes kirilowii maxim to Streptococcus suis strain of Pf–cc by Chinese and westernmedicine combined drug susceptibility tes. The results showed that polyamide eluent of10%,70%ethanol and macroporous resin of10%,70%,95%ethanol elution all have bacteriostaticactivity to Streptococcus suis.
