To defend the position of agriculture as the foundation of the economy andrealize agricultural modernization first, Jilin province puts the drought-resistantwater-saving agricultural engineering into effect and carries out10million acres ofdry field efficient water-saving irrigation project construction in14cities in theMid-west such as Tao nan, Da an, Zhen lai, Tong yu, Tao bei, Qian guo, Qian An,Chang ling, Fu yu, Ning Jiang, Nong an, Gong zhu ling, Li shu, shuang liao. As thessme time, Jilin province vigorously promotes the corn film with drip irrigation andthe canal seepage control, micro sprinkler irrigation and other international advancedefficient water-saving irrigation technology. Consequently, there are importanttheoretical values and practical significances on promoting the popularization anddiffusion of water-saving irrigation technology in our province to research thefarmers’ choice behavior of water-saving irrigation technology and investigatefarmers’ response mechanism of water-saving irrigation technology and explore thefactors influencing farmers’ choice behavior water-saving irrigation technology.On the basis of reviewing and combing the domestic and foreign related research,first of all, this paper has concluded and summarized the types and characteristics ofmodern water-saving irrigation technology and highlight shows the comparativeadvantages of water saving irrigation technology combined with corn drip irrigationtechnology under film application in Da an project area; Secondly, from theperspective of rational farmers, this paper assumes that farmers’ choices making areaccording to the expected profit maximization of water-saving irrigation technologyand analyzes the economics mechanism of farmers’ choice behavior of water-savingirrigation technology and establishes the theoretical framework for the farmers’ choicebehavior of water-saving irrigation technology; taking farmers’ choice behavior ofcorn drip irrigation technology under film in Da An project area as an example, thispaper carries out the research and puts forward the possible influence factors offarmers’ choice behavior and assumes through field investigation and data collectionand determines the final variable factors using factor analysis and analyzes throughLogistic regression analysis model to draw the variable factors significance level onfarmers choice behavior of corn drip irrigation technology under film. The resultsshow that the farmers’ age, level of education, whether the village cadres or not, the management scale area of cultivated land, family income levels, income factor, riskfactor, government subsidies, agricultural loans, technical training, a model householdand sort of access to information on water-saving irrigation technology have asignificant impact on farmers’ choice behavior, that is to say farmers with the lowerthe age, the higher the level of education, village cadres working experiences,cultivated land management scale is larger, the higher the income level, the incomefactor and the higher the degree of risk factors are prefer to water-saving irrigationtechnology, at the same time, the government’s subsidies, agricultural loans support,technical training development, the establishment of a model household as well as theinformation types of increase are the effective incentive on farmers’ choices ofwater-saving irrigation technology. Finally, this paper puts forward the correspondingpolicy recommendations according to the results of theoretical analysis and empiricalresearch.
