Seed-used watermelon is one type of watermelon cultivar,the main economic value lies in its seeds. Because of its main use is to eat for production purpose. For the main food for production purpose, it always referred to as "seed melon", and the pulp is making the material of low sugar food. According to its different seed color, they were divided into the red-seed melons and black-seed melons in market. It is rich in nutritions, and its protein and crude fat content is also higher, so the main edible seeds is always people’s choice. The experiment materials were from Inner Mongolia, xinjiang, gansu province and Guangdong province.among them20varieties were from Bayinnaoer city of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, one variety was from tongliao city of Inner Mongolia,4varieties were from Xinjiang uygur autonomous region, one variety was from Gansu province and one variety was from Gangdong province.The experiment of seed-used watermelon is about germplasm diversity research and evaluation. The gradually perfect and build germplasm resources evaluation system of seed-used watermelon was based on this. And it has practical guiding significance in production of seed-used watermelon. Also it can lay the foundation of the breeding of good varieties of watermelon. The test collect and conserve germplasm resources from Horticultural traits, single melon seed yield components and the analysis of the cytology mark three aspects in four different regions. The main experimental results are as follows:1. Through clustering analysis,27of seed-used watermelons’materials can be divided into5groups. Group1:peasant cultivation species in bayinnaoer city and varieties in xinjiang; Group2:red piece of Guangdong; Group3:heifeng;Group4:TongLiao seeds; Group5:Lanzhou seeds.the cluster figure shows that the peasant cultivation species in bayinnaoer city and varieties in xinjiang is the closest in the genetic relationship in the five cultispecies.2. The seed yield of single melon of seed-used watermelons and other factors of multiple output are relatively closer in relationship,and the interaction between different factors are promote or inhibite. The seed length, seed width and thickness of single melon has indirectly effect to improve the seed production by improving the hundred grain weight. the seeds of single melon, single fruit weight and grain weight direct effects the single melon seed production, and the effects were very direct. The single fruit weight, width, seed, melon, melon and longitudinal diameter thick, seed length and seed width has indirect effects.3. The seeds number of single melon plays an important role to seed production. The single melon seeds, single fruit weight and grain weight has directly decisive effect to the seed yield.so increasing.The Single melon seeds, single fruit weight and grain weight were the best choice to Improve and cultivate the high yields and good qualities,and we should Give priority to those three yield components.4. When The average shape index is between0.49-0.76, the seeds yield of single melon was slowly rising; Between0.95-1.04, the seed production of single melon is on the rise; on the1.04, the seed production of single melon is the maximum;and the fruit shape index was more than1.04, the seed production of single melon decline gradually.and the variance analysis also showed that when fruit shape index is between0.90~1.06, the seeds yield of single melon is higher. This study determined that the best range of the seed-used watermelons was0.95-1.04,at the same time the seed yields can reach the highest. So, when breed the seed-used watermelons, the shape was nearly round.5. The seed-used watermelons under the condition of long-term human choice, small genetic differences is between each type. This experiment of karyotype analysis can distinguish these varieties (or lines), and the results showed that the breed cell marker’s polymorphism was higher than the biochemical marker.6. The chromosomes of seed-used watermelons were small, and mostly they were central centromere chromosomes, and it was difficult to measure producer and karyotype. according to the features of materials.the experiment have to use the fixed fluidthe of strong penetrating power. And because of the different varieties, the Dissociation time were also different. And then the results obtained relatively clear chromosome images to ensure that the results of the experiment were accurate.
