Artemisia frigida is an excellent forage grass in Inner Mongolia steppe, with widely distributed and high economic value. In this study, Artemisia frigida which live in8habitat of Inner Mongolia be used as the tested materials, investigating its green period and winter survival rate, and put branches in artificial low temperature stress, the relative electric conductivity (REC), malondialdehyde (MDA), the content of soluble sugar (Soluble Sucrose), proline (Proline), peroxidase enzyme (POD) activity, catalase (CAT) activity under different temperature gradients were analyzed. Through the determination of the field, physical and chemical indicators, to determine the8habitats of Artemisia frigida hardiness sequence. The results show that:1. The winter survival rate of Artemisia frigida which live in8habitat was more than90%under the climatic conditions of Hohhot.The winter survival rate of Artemisia frigida are similar and can pass through the winter. Besides the Artemisia frigida of Xilinhot, Abaga and Hexigten, the rest of Artemisia frigida green time and the cold hardiness are different.2. Inner eight habitats Artemisia frigida LT50were:Hailar Artemisia frigida (-15.19℃)> Hexigten Artemisia frigida (-14.13℃)> Xilinhot Artemisia frigida (-12.54℃)>Daqing Mountain Artemisia frigida (-10.98℃)> Abaga Artemisia frigida (-10.30℃)> Etuoke Artemisia frigida (-8.27℃)> Tar Ridge Artemisia frigida (-7.92℃)>Bayanhaote Artemisia frigida (-3.30℃).3. The principal component analysis of8habitat of Artemisia frigida under artificial lowtemperature stress shows that:The physiological of Artemisia frigida under low temperature stress can be divided into4categories:{soluble sugar content, proline content},{electrolyte leakage, MDA},{POD},{CAT}.4. The correlation analysis of cold resistance physiological indices of8habitats of Artemisia frigida shows that:soluble sugar content, POD activity, CAT activity and electrolyte leakage rate is significantly correlated with other physical and chemical indicators, can be used as a single index to preliminary identify the cold resistance of Artemisia frigida. 5. According to the reflects of8habitats of Artemisia frigida under artificial low temperature, use the average clustering analysis,can be divided into5classes:class first for Hailar Artemisia frigida, second class for Xilinhot and Hexigten Artemisia frigida, third class for Abaga and Daqing Mountain Artemisia frigida, fourth class for Etuoke and Tar Ridge Artemisia frigida, fifth class for Bayanhaote Artemisia frigida.6. Used the membership function method to make a comprehensive analysis of all the physiological index of cold resistance, the cold resistance order of8habitat of Artemisia frigida is:Hailar Artemisia frigida> Hexigten Artemisia frigida> Xilinhot Artemisia frigida> Abaga Artemisia frigida> Daqing Mountain Artemisia frigida> Etuoke Artemisia frigida> Tar Ridge Artemisia frigida> Bayanhaote Artemisia frigida.
