In this paper, distributed in the Inner Mongolia typical grassland of Artemisia frigida as the materials for its flowering phenology, rule of pollen dispersal, issues related to the biology of sexual reproduction were discussed. Research results showed that:l.The changes in light of the length stimulation were subjected to Artemisia frigida’s flowering. A. frigida temperature conditions required for flowering was the same. Low and fluctuating temperature was beneficial to break inflorescence dormancy to make Artem isia frigida’s flowers open. Precipitation was not only able to promote Artemisia frigida’s flowering, but also can promote end of flowering. Wind was benefit for Artemisia frigida’s flowering.2Artemisia frigida’s pollen in the case of far away fromthe pollen source (3km) can be collected, but the number were less. The main affecting factors for Artemisia frigida pollen’s long-distance spreading were wind and height:when wind speed wsa faster, Artemisia frigida pollen could be spread higher and farther; during the height of the higher, the fewer of Artemisia frigida pollen. And at0.01significance level was correlated with height.3.According to the2010-2013four-year statistical analysis of test data could be drawn:in horizontal direction, the law of pollen speed was:with the increase of distance, the quantity of pollen speed was less and less, and the bulk of pollens handed down near the plants. In vertical direction, the law of pollen speed was:with the increase of height, the pollens which were collected were less and less, the effective spread height was more than100cm.A great quantity of pollens were captured at11:00-15:00during24h consistent temperature during the experiment. Temperature relative humidity and wind speed affected the pollen speed enormously, what’s more, temperature and wind speed were positively correlated to pollen density; relative humidity was negatively correlated to pollen density. And at0.01significance level was correlated with temperature.4.Artemisia frigida’s pollen P/O was3050. According to the standard of CRUDEN, Artemisia frigida breeding system was obligate outcrossing. Artemisia frigida OCI was4. According to the standard of Dafni, Artemisia frigida breeding system was outcrossing breeding system, needed pollinators.
