The Development Of Special Purpose Botanical Aphicide For Apple Orchard

Aphid,as the major pest for the apple, is particularly susceptible to attack the trees. They can cause serious damage when they attack the trees through sucking sap, such as deterioration of nutrition,growth abnormalities and the decline of production and quality. This damage leads to the significant economic losses. In order to reduce the bad impact of the the chemosynthesis aphicide to apple security, new novel aphicides development should be on the security premise. Plant essential oils, with the advantages of low toxicity and less-persistent can match the requirement for the secure aphicide. Thus, 11 kinds of essential oils and 2 compounds were evaluated for their contact Toxicity against Aphis ciricola van der Goot in this study, and formula of botanical agents with applied value in Aphicide prevention were developed. The mainiy results are shown as follows:1、Nicotine, Geraniol,Farnesol,Rhodinol,Carvacrol and 4-Isopropyltoluene had high contact activities against Aphis ciricola van der Goot.2 、 2 in 5 botanical compounds(Nicotine, G, F, Rhodinol, carvacrol and 4-Isopropyltoluene) were combined. The mixture of Nicotine and Geraniol、Nicotine and Farnesol had coordinate synergism, the c·f of Nicotine and Geraniol was 26.14. Thus, the optiumum ratio of combinations were 1:3 by qualitative analysis of co-toxicity coefficient, and CTC value was 183.8.3、Developed 8%N·G EC and finished pesticide products quality standards.4、8% N?G EC was tested in fields against Macrosiphum rosirvorum,Aphis ciricola van der Goot and Myzus persicae. The results indicated that EC had high aphicidal activity, and the effect were about 85% within 7 days.In summary, the essential oils on aphids have contact activity, and have potential and practical value for the develop safe、efficient aphicides provides. these results have theoretical significance in developing new products for Aphicide prevention.
