Deep plowing is a key step of production management in tea plantations, for it is significant in improving both quality and quantity of tea. The current mechanized ploughing operation remains at a low level as the plowing machines did not well as expected in tea plantations. With this in mind, author in this paper examined the deep plowing machine under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture welfare(agriculture) industry. The study can provide theoretical basis for making technical specification of deep plowing machine in tea plantation, achieve the best power consumption and soil-breaking rate under different conditions, improve reliability of equipment. The major contents studied are as follows:In this paper, after introduction of structures, working principles, operating parameters and evaluation indexs of deep plowing machine, a Motion Model of it was developed. The author made the dynamics and kinematics analysis of it. A virtual prototype model of deep plowing machine on the basis of ADAMS was created; through Simulation analysis, the author studied about the tilling depth, velocity, acceleration and whether there is overlapping or omission when ploughing. The results of simulation were identical to the calculated results of the model with the maximum plowing depth of 25cm; the best relationship to avoid overlapping and omission was v / n = 13/4500.In this paper, the author developed a test device of deep plowing machine in soil tank, which mainly consist of the mechanical system and control system; Key settings of mechanical system are running gear, steering devices and ploughing equipment. This test device is able to achieve various combinations of test within the range: forward speed of 0 ~ 1m / s, the crank speed of 0 ~ 350 r / min and tilling depth of 0 ~ 25 cm c. The Measurement and control system with Lab VIEW software has ability to regulate and control the speed and steering direction, to collect, display and save the data of speeds and torques timely, with good operability in practice.The findings of the three set of tests that carried out under condition that plowing depth was 25 cm and the forward speed and crank speed of each set were 0.20 m / s, 69 r / min; 0.35m/s, 121r/min; 0.50m/s, 173r/min, verified the validity of the simulation analysis after comparison of overlapping and omission between them and results of simulation analysis under the same test conditions. Through orthogonal test and quadratic regression combination test, the author analyzed the impacts on power, soil crushing ratio and overall scores form forward speed, crank speed and plowing depth. Factors that impact on the overall scores are: plowing depth> forward speed> crank speed. The author figured out the quadratic regression equation derived from the tests by using the solver function of EXCEL, obtaining the maximum overall value and associated operational parameters. That was, when the forward speed is 0.22 m / s, the crank speed of 178 r / min and plowing depth of 15 cm, the maximum score value was 0.895.
