In this paper, a reverse research and design were done on an imported egg classification and packaging production line. In the case of the original production line not been disassembled, the method of analyze and black box lighting was used and the finished work were as follows.1. The integrated 3D model was established. And the engineering drawing, bill of materials and other technical information of the machine were finished. A detailed description was carried out about the transmission principle of the machine and the working principle of each part which lays a foundation for further design.2. The part of weighing, overturn, packaging were analyzed. The motion analysis was conducted on weighing part. The relationship between the cam profile of weighing part and the rest time when the egg was weighing was analyzed. The trajectory and velocity of the actuator part in overturn were analyzed and the motion law of eccentric sprocket was studied. The relation equations was gotten between the instantaneous transmission ratio of master-slave sprocket in the eccentric sprocket part and the angular displacement of drive sprocket. And the visualized three-dimensional curved surface was obtained by using MATLAB. By solving the relation equation, the precise position relationship between actuator and transmission mechanism was obtained, as well as the actuator design parameters such as size, angle of eccentric sprocket and so on. By carrying out motion analysis of packaging part, the relationship between the eggs’ drop height and interval was gotten.3. The ‘black box’ in the overturn part was brightened to ensure the integrity of the whole 3D model and engineering drawings. Several different kinds of structures were put forward about the packaging part which had the biggest breakage to the device, and the optimal structure was selected by analyzed.4. The prototype of weighing part was made and the test was finished. To solve the problems of spring selection, sample assembly and so on in the process of trial manufacture. The test results of the prototype show that the prototype is completely feasible, and the average weighing error is ±0.139 g.
