Nowadays, the current experimental study in rabbits to its assessment of thenutritional value is less. In order to make better use of these unconventional energy feedand explore its feeding value for rabbits, the study show the nutritional value in wheat,sorghum,early rice, defatted rice bran(DRB) for rabbits.The determination of nutrients content in wheat、sorghum、early rice、DRB and cornfor rabbits. Carrying the conventional analysis of nutrients content after getting thefeedstuff samples according to the sampling method. The conventional analysis ofnutrients included the gross energy (GE)、dry matter (DM)、crude protein (CP)、crude fiber(CF)、neutral detergent fiber (NDF)、acid detergent fiber (ADF)、acid detergent lignin(ADL)、crude fat (EE)、crude ash (Ash)、calcium (Ca)、phosphorus (P) and nitrogen freeextract (NFE). The result show the main nutrient content of four kinds of unconventionalenergy feed and corn and provided the data base for the rational feed formulation.Theinitial assessment results showed the order of the four kinds of unconventional energy feedand corn according to the content of GE was corn、wheat、sorghum、early rice and DRB.While according to the content of CP, the order was DRB、wheat、sorghum、early rice andcorn; it was to be DRB、early rice、sorghum、wheat、and corn according to the content ofCF.The experiment was carried out to evaluate the nutritional values of sorghum andwheat early rice、DRB and corn for growing rex rabbits by feeding and digestibilityexperiment. The experiment selected30growth rex rabbits, about60days and averageweight(1.68±0.23)kg, divided randomly into6groups(5replicates in each group and onerabbit per replicate). The six groups were respectively fed with based fodder, sorghumfodder(85%based fodder+15%sorghum), wheat fodder(85%based fodder+15%wheat),corn fodder(85%based fodder+15%corn),early rice fodder(85%based fodder+15%early rice),DRB fodder(85%based fodder+15%DRB). Total fecal collection method wasapplied to determine(calculate) the apparent digestibility of GE, DM, CP, CF, NDF, ADF,ADL, EE, Ash, Ca, P and NFE,and count the apparent digestible energy. The apparentdigestible energy in order from the high to the low was corn11.22MJ/kg、wheat11.19MJ/kg、sorghum11.18MJ/kg、early rice10.43MJ/kg and DRB9.75MJ/kg.It showed that DRB was significantly lower than corn (P<0.05),while others were not(P>0.05).Theapparent digestible crude proteins in order was respectively wheat11.66%、DRB10.15%、sorghum7.50%、early rice6.19%and corn5.59%. So four kinds of unconventional energyfeed in the apparent digestible crude proteins were higher than corn. The corn range ofnutrients digestibility was GE68%、DM68%、CP80%、CF31%、Ash55%、Ca58%、P20%、EE83%、NDF39%、ADF27%and NFE79%.The four kinds of unconventionalenergy feed range of nutrients digestibility was GE62%~68%、DM60%~69%、CP68%~80%、CF22%~31%、Ash53%~66%、Ca48%~67%、P14%~21%、EE61%~83%、NDF26%~39%、ADF21%~26%and NFE61%~79%respectively. In conclusion,apparent digestibility of DM、CP、EE and NFE in the energy feed for growing were higher,while apparent digestibility of CF、P was lower.To sum up, with the nutritional value based on the content and digestibility ofthe nutrients in the four kinds of unconventional energy feed and corn,we draw that wheat、sorghum and early rice can replace or partly replace corn. While the apparent digestible energy of DRB is lower than that of corn significantly,at the sametime,some other targets are similar with corn,or even higher than corn, so more experiments should be carried out to test the replacement of DRB to corn.
