China is the most largest vegetable production base,the development prospect of Chinavegetable industry is quite considerable. Mechanism of vegetable pot seedling transplanting canimprove productivity,output of vegetable per unit area, and vegetable cropping index in aspecific area, while shortening the rice planting period. Transplanting mechanism is one of thekey working components of automatic vegetable pot seedling transplanter, functioning in pickingseedling accurately and stably instead of people, which can achieve the fully mechanization ofvegetable planting in real sense. At present, the study of picking seedling mechanism have someachievements, but most of them have the problem such as low efficiency, high cost,complexstructure and so on.This paper put forward a push-out and clamping combined vegetable pot seedlingtransplanting mechanism, which can solve the problem of the existed picking seedling devicesour research group have may cause the seedling hurting. The specific contents of this paper areas follows:(1) Though the design requirements analysis of transplanting mechanism and compared tothe existing transplanting mechanism, determine the scheme of combined transplantingmechanism.(2) Analyze the working principle of combined transplanting mechanism, and establish thekinematic model of seedling pick-up mechanism of planetary gear train with ellipse gears andincomplete non-circular gear. Complete the design theory model of push-out mechanism.(3)Develop the aided analyzed and optimal software of push-out mechanism independently,and cooperate with the aided and optimal software of seedling pick-up mechanism of planetarygear train with ellipse gears and incomplete non-circular gear, to find out a group of workingparameters which can meet the requirement of combined vegetable mechanism. (4)Complete the structure design of combined vegetable transplanting mechanism,including the structure design of push-out mechanism, the improved design of rotarytransplanting mechanism,and the improved design for other key parts in the test-bed. Finallycomplete the virtual prototype of the new test-bed for combined vegetable transplantingmechanism.(5)The3D parametric entity model and3D model assembly of combined vegetabletransplanting mechanism have been finished based on UG8.5. Also the virtual prototype has beentested with the help of ADAMS. Comparing the experiment result with the theory data, verify thefeasibility of the new type transplanting mechanism.
