Cancrinia discoidea belongs to ephemeral plant, its flowers in early spring with ornamental value. Inthis study, we used Cancrinia discoidea as the research object, through monitor each growing plants andsoil indicators in the natural habitat conditions and cultivated condition, to master soil moisture dynamic indifferent growth period; through the different density of sowing and monitor the growth index at variousgrowth stages, evaluating their ornamental characteristics in flowering stage, looking for reasonableplanting density. And the conclusion as follows:(1)The study of soil conditions under three different environmental conditions, the natural growthenvironment (Yamalike mountain), urban green space (Renmin Park) and the experimental farm (SanPingFarm), showed that the10-30cm soil moisture of the three study area with Cancrinia discoidea growth timedecreased, soil moisture conditions of Renmin Park better, and Soil nutrient conditions of Three Ping farmbetter.(2)Based on Cancrinia discoidea phenological observations found that Cancrinia discoidea seedgermination and unfolds its leaves in late March, buds began to appear in late April, flowering in early Mayto early June, and then enter Seed stage and dry death in early july, its flowering up to40days, in which theRenmin Park phenology study area, other than the two earlier5-6days;(3)By measured taproot length, root length, height, crown width and dry mass at various growth stagesof the Cancrinia discoidea in the three study areas, found that Yamalike mountain longest root length, rootlength of the maximum value of the Renmin Park, height, crown and dry matter accumulation is also thelargest of the Renmin Park.(4)By setting the spacing of5*5cm(Ⅰ),10*10cm(Ⅱ),15*15cm(Ⅲ)and20*20cm(Ⅳ)four gradientplanting density, we found that the influence on plant height of cultivation density was non-significant, theplant height of cultivation density Ⅰwas slightly lower than other treatment. The different cultivationdensity has more significant influence on the crown in reproductive stage, and the crown of cultivationdensity Ⅱand Ⅲ were larger. Different planting density has more obvious influence on flowering amount, under dealing with larger density, the less flowers; influence of density treatment on flowering days was notsignificant.(5)By evaluating ornamental value among the four cultivation density through grey correlationanalysis we found that the cultivation densityⅡhas a higher comprehensive ornamental value, growthconditions, inflorescence aesthetic, ornamental value are better in this density, and the highest correlationwith the ideal value, indicating that the Cancrinia discoidea can achieve better ornamental effect under thecultivation densityⅡ.
