CO2and CH4produced from cow manure has become a major source which contributes the globeclimate change. Thermorphilic aerobic composting technology has been widely used in process of livestockmanure. Nitrogen-containing gases products (mainly NH3, HCN) not only caused nitrogen loss, alsopolluted environment. Wood Vinegar&Pyroligneous acid has been attracted great attention for come fromnatural substance, nice to environment, no harm to human being and livestock. It has many advantages suchas soil sterilization and bactericidal. Studies on the regulation of Wood Vinegar on greenhouse gas emissionduring manure composting and provide reference for study of greenhouse gas emission reduction and lowcarbon. In this thesis, pilot scale experiments were carried out to study the effects of cotton stalk woodvinegar (CSWV) on physicochemical property, space-time characteristic, greenhouse gases during manurecomposting. The relationships of CH4:CO2and temperature, organic matter and TKN in the compost. Also, control mechanism of CSWV on GHG during composting was investigated. The main results in presentstudy are listed below:(1) The3.0%CSWV added in cow manure composting increased the temperature (5-7℃) and decreasedthe composting period (10days) significantly. Compared to the other treatment groups, adding3.0%ofCSWV increased the FAS and exhibited TopFAS>CenterFAS>BottomFASand decreased the loss of carbon by14%-26%and increased the nitrogen content.(2) During composting process, CO2, CH4emissions of the three layers (top, center, down) in pilesincreased first and then decreased. CO2emissions in the latter have increased in varying degrees, withincreasing the maximum extent of the middle layer, the upper and lower minimum; CH4emissions reachedlower maximum gradient in the upper layer. Throughout the composting process, CH4emissions are mainlyfocused on the first week, accounting for60%-87%of the total emissions. By adding3.0%of CSWV tocow manure compost, the suppression of the CH4emissions happened in the first7days, after two weeksthe CH4emissions almost zero, the CH4emissions reduced by15%. The difference of CH4and CO2emissions in the same horizontal plane was not significant, but in the vertical direction. By material balanceanalysis,14%-26%of total carbon was lost in the control group than other treatments, and matched earlyCH4, CO2emissions. With increasing concentrations of CSWV, the amount of carbon loss reduced, andincreased the organic matter content of the compost product.(3) Regression analysis showed that good linear relationship between CO2and O2and binary linearregression for CH4and O2. In general, CSWV can be used as an additive in composting to reduce theemissions and improve the value of compost as fertilizer.
