Since the hybrid rice production technology was developed in China, hybrid rice has been popularized in more than40count, make important contributions to solve the problem of food security in the world. Now the mechanization seed production techniques of hybrid rice has developed rapidly and become mature, but the mechanization pollination technology is still in its infancy, and the artificial supplementary pollination is still used in many areas. In order to improve the yield of hybrid rice and reduce the burden on farmers, developing a hybrid rice pollination machine is the top priority. In this paper, a collision and air-blowing hybrid rice pollination machine was designed according to the pollination principle of collision and pneumatic type and cropping system of hybrid rice in Zhejiang Province, and in order to improve its pollination efficiency, CFD was used to numerical simulate the flow field of the pollination tube and then optimize the structures. And the improved pollination machine was used for pollination experiment in paddy, and the pollination efficiency was validated by comparing the artificial supplementary pollination. The results are as follows:(1) A collision and air-blowing hybrid rice pollination machine was designed, it mainly composed of a tiny petrol engine, a blower, a frame and two pollination tubes, the pollination tube was equipped with collision tooth and air blowing exits.(2) The flow field of pollination tube with different structures of air blowing exit, different structural parameters of air inlet and some other factors was numerical simulated by Fluent. The results showed, when the exit structure was air tap, the air inlet horizontal fixed in the center of the pollination tube, the aperture of air tap was smaller and tube diameter was larger, the velocity uniformity of air out of air taps along the pollination tube was better.(3) The influence of angle and outlet velocity of air tap on pollen movement was numerical simulated. The results showed, the pollen movement under0°and15°air tap was more conducive for pollination than30°nd45°air tap. When the angle was0°,7.5°and15°, a smaller outlet velocity is more conducive for pollination.(4)The result of pollination experiment showed, the pollination effect of pollination tube with15°air tap under outlet velocity of12.11m/s is the best.
