Forest, as the main part of terrestrial ecosystem, has an indispensable effect on the survival and development of human society. Nowadays, the evaluation of its service function value is one of the hot topics in ecological research. It has positive influence on the sustainable development and district economy by analyzing and appraising the economy value of forest in the minor dimension. In order to provide a reliable scientific evidence and fundamental data to meet the requirement on Green GDP, it is very essential to take forest resources and environmental factors into System of National Accounts as soon as possible. This study has focus on the Nan county (Hunan Province) as an main research object. We have use the quantitative analysis method to appraised the eco-environmental function on different forest types in this area by combine with the forest resource survey data (by 2014/09), statistic annual report, relative public data, some publications, the field soil sample data and the investigation data. In summary, the main achievements in our findings were mentioned below:A yearly ecosystem services value of South county was ¥1961443.8 thousand in total. The ecosystem services value of unit area was ¥101,660.29 hm-2·a-1. The ecosystem services value accounted for 22.32% of the GDP.In South county, An average matter quantity of the forest ecosystem services function for each year as follows:the amount of organic production was 121,100 tons; water conservation was 99.59 million tons; soil conservation was 686,100 tons; carbon fixation was 552,880 tons; oxygen release was 148,990 tons; the amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and phosphorus fixation were 40,325,7,525 and 58,486 tons, respectively; the absorption amount of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide and fluoride were 1,728,115.765 and 115.765 tons, respectively; the capability of dust detaining was 198,346 tons.The values and proportion of forest ecosystem service function were: ¥169.582 million (8.65%) for organic production; ¥816,716 million (41.64%) for water conservation; ¥12,726 million (6.49%) for soil conservation; ¥165,441 million (33.56%) for carbon fixation and oxygen release; ¥31,961 million (0.15%) for atmosphere purification; ¥104,009 million (5.30%), ¥12,384 million (0.63%) and ¥40,500 million (2.06%) for biodiversity protection, nutrient accumulation and forest recreation, respectively.Forest ecosystem service value of South county ranked in the order:water conservation> carbon fixation and oxygen release> organic production> soil conservation> biodiversity protection> forest recreation> atmosphere purification> nutrient accumulation. And water conservation, carbon fixation and oxygen release and organic production accounted for 83.85% of total ecosystem service value of South county. They were the main ecosystem service functions.The value of different forest types in South county ranked in the order: Odd-tree> Poplar> broadleaved forest> Chinese Fir> mixed forest. Ecosystem service value of unit area of different forest types ranked in the order:broadleaved forest> Odd-tree> mixed forest> Chinese Fir.
