The study was designed in diffferent age in Taigu, Pingyao city, used random block test with a single factor in 2013 and 2014.The material in this study were choosed from promotion dense maize resistant varieties in the middle rigion of Shanxi province, such as Dafeng30, Dafeng26, Qiangsheng51, Qiangsheng101, Luyu36, Xianyu335, Zhengdan958 and dilute plant type Xieyu 5 (CK). Study these seven resistance type maize vareities yield components and potential. The main results were showed as follows:Analyse to the yield potential of the seven dense type maize varieties resistant:7 dense type varities were under the planting density of 67500 per/hm2, and bred varieties of agriculture DF 30 maximum yield of 16707.6 kg/hm2, QS 101 maximum yield of 16455.3 kg/hm2, QS 51 maximum yield of 15478.5 kg/hm2, with 95% confidence interval (upper limit) as index, four varieties yield potential is greater than 16000 kg/hm2 which were DF 30, QS 101, ZD 958. QS 51. The yield potential of DF 30 was more than 16500 kg/hm2, QS 51 and 101 were bred strong agriculture yield potential was greater than 15500 kg/hm2, The yield of ZD 958 was greater than 15000 kg/hm2.Leaf area index (LAI) along with the growth period of promoting a single-peak curve, LAI from seedling stage to silking stage rapidly rising, peaked in spinning, spinning stage to milk stage corn leaf area index started slowly, in all tested varieties, XY 5 (CK) was maximum leaf area index of performance, the highest LAI is 6.7. Four varieties with high yield potential, such as QS 51, DF 30,QS 101 and ZD 958 laid area index were 5.and their dry matter accumulation in the ratio of total biological accumulation are all higher than XY 5. QS 101, DF 30, QS 51,and ZD 958 had higher potential yield of varieties, and SPAD values were 58.0、56.7、56.2、55.1, respectively. Corresponding to XY 5 were respectively increased 7.2%、 4.9%、3.9%、1.9%.
