In recent years, the traffic accidents caused by improper road greening is common in newspapers, Traffic problems reflected by urban residents can be seen in many government web site. So, it’s necessarily to study the relationship between the road greening and traffic safety, in order to propose a purview of quantitative control in road greening. Provide a reference for road greening design and maintenance in future.This paper use sampling investigation method to sort out traffic characteristics and present situation in green space for city’s main road in Urumqi, carried out the hidden safety problems and analysis the influence between road greening and traffic safety dialectically, pointed out the relationship between urban road greening and traffic safety is mutual influence and mutual restriction.According to the range of visibility Research, paper put forward that to comply with traffic safety demand, greening design should meet the need "to be seen" firstly.
