In this paper, pepper(Capsicum annum l.) variety of Longjiao No. 2 as the test material, respectively used KNO3, NH4NO3, CaCl2, GA3 and PEG treat pepper seeds.and each agent set three concentration gradients, explore the effects of these chemical seed soaking on pepper seed vigor, physiological change during seed germination, seedling growth and physiology characteristics of seedlings. The following were experimental results:(1) The concentrations of 0.3% and 0.5% of KNO3, 0.5% of NH4NO3, 0.8% and 1.2% of CaCl2, 0.03% of GA3, 20% of PEG treatment of pepper seeds on the germination rate, germination potential, germination index and root activity was significantly higher than control, they were the best concentration treatments.The concentrations of 0.3% of KNO3, 0.5% of NH4NO3, 0.8% and 1.2% of CaCl2, 0.03% of GA3, 20% of PEG treatment on the curve amplitude changes of soluble sugar, soluble protein, POD and SOD was greater than the control, and these concentrations by increasing its own radical scavenging capacity to reduce the range of MDA.(2) The concentrations of 0.3% of KNO3, 0.5% of NH4NO3, 1.2% of CaCl2, 0.03% of GA3 and 20% of PEG treatment of pepper seedlings on dry fresh weight, root activity, chlorophyll content, strong seedling index was significantly higher than control, but no obvious difference was found between different treatments of seedling emergence. Compared with control the concentration of 0.1% of KNO3, 0.3% of NH4NO3, 0.8% of CaCl2, 0.01% of GA3 and 10% of PEG treatment also had promoted seedling growth,but The treatment effect was just not significant. 0.5% of KNO3, 0.05% of GA3, 30% of PEG treatment of each index was significantly lower than control.(3) The concentrations of 0.3% of KNO3, 0.5% of NH4NO3, 1.2% of CaCl2, 0.03% of GA3 and 20% of PEG treatment of seeds increased the chili seedling leaf net photosynthetic rate(Pn), water use efficiency(WUE), stomatal conductance(Gs) and transpiration rate(Tr), reduced the intercellular CO2 concentration(Ci).(4) In addition to the 0.05% of GA3 and 30% of PEG residual concentration processing PSII maximal photochemical efficiencies(Fv/Fm) were higher than the threshold value 0.75.The treatment of 0.3% of KNO3, 0.5% of NH4NO3, 1.2% of CaCl2, 0.03% of GA3 and 20% of PEG effectively improved the non-photochemical quenching(NPQ), electron transport rate(ETR) and the actual photochemical efficiency(φPSⅡ).(5) The concentrations of 0.3% of KNO3, 0.5% of NH4NO3, 1.2% of CaCl2, 0.03% of GA3 and 20% of PEG treatment can effectively improve the content of soluble protein, soluble sugar and soluble starch.The middle concentrations(0.3%,0.03%,20%) of KNO3, GA3, PEG to the concent of POD, SOD had the best treatment effects, and also could reduce the content of harmful substances MDA. The high concentrations(0.5%,1.2%) of NH4NO3 and CaCl2 showed good treatment effects.(6) In these five kinds of medication, CaCl2 was the best treatment agent and 1.2% was the best concentration.
