Salmonella is a gram negative, facultatively anaerobic, no small Bacillus subtilis, one of the most common bacterial zoonotic pathogens in Enterobacteriaceae, an important public health significance. In recent years, due to the large number of application of antibiotics in veterinary clinic, resulting in multi drug resistant Salmonella strains continue to emerge, to the poultry industry has caused huge economic losses, the related research of chicken Salmonella in Xinjiang region is almost in a blank state in recent years. In this paper, Salmonella were isolated and identified from chickens,and the serotype and drug susceptibility of identified Salmonella were also been tested, this will provide theoretical and practical evidence for salmonella prevention in Xinjiang regions.From the Ili region, Urumqi and surrounding areas in different parts of diseased collected a total of550 copies. The sampled material was subjected to enrichment, culture, Gram stain, a preliminary screening of suspected salmonella bacteria; and biochemical tests to identify whether salmonella,identified as Salmonella serotypes identified. Salmonella diagnosed drug sensitivity test, the more sensitive drug screening, clinical cases of treatment and clinical treatment effects.As a result, 8 Salmonella strains were isolated from 178 diseased chicken samples in Urumqi, the isolation rate is about 4.5%; 2 salmonella strains were isolated from 212 duodenal contents and anal swabs of adult chickens around Urumqi, the isolation rate is about 0.9%; Yi Li region of 160 gross eggs,salmonella detected in 24, the detection rate of 15%; 34 Salmonella strains were successfully separated from chicken,serogroups are mainly B, C and D group.17 strains are serotype O9, 9 strains are serotype O7, 7 strains are serotype O4, 1 strains are serotype O8, the dominated serotype in Xinjiang is O9.which streptomycin, nalidixic acid, tetracycline, sulfa, ampicillin, nitrofurantoin resistance is higher,cefotaxime,ceftriaxone, ceftazidime, aztreonam, amoxicillin, gentamicin, cotrimoxazole, chloramphenicol and other drugs with a high sensitivity. Clinical treatment amoxicillin, ciprofloxacin water, in conjunction with electrolysis multidimensional, cod liver oil, glucose powder spices for chicken salmonellosis comprehensive treatment better. The study has provided a theoretical and practical basis on prevention and treatment of chicken salmonellosis in Xinjiang area.
