This study aimed to explore the correlation between apo A-Ⅰ and apo B gene m RNA expression and fat metabolism in indigenous breeds of chickens. In this experiment, Taihe silky fowl, Ningdu yellow chicken and Anyi Wahui chicken in 57 weeks old bred for 45 days, and randomly selected 12 for each breed were used as finally test materials to test cholesterol content of eggs, crude fat in liver, blood biochemical and apo A-Ⅰ and apo B gene m RNA expression. Results are as follows:(1) Ningdu yellow chicken was significantly higher than the other two in liver weight/living weight, abdominal fat weight and abdominal fat rat(P<0.05).(2) The content of TC in the serum: Ningdu yellow chicken was significantly higher than Anyi Wahui chicken(P<0.05). The content of LDL in the serum: Ningdu yellow chicken was significantly higher than Anyi Wahui chicken(P<0.05). The activity of LPS in serum: Taihe silky fowl was significantly higher than Ningdu yellow chicken(P<0.05). The content of TG and HDL in the serum: There were no significant differences among the three breeds(P>0.05)(3) There were no significant differences among the three breeds in the expression of apo A-Ⅰand apo B gene(4) In Taihe silky fowl. There was a significant positive correlation between the expression of apo B gene in liver and the activity of LPS in the serum,(r=0.586,P<0.05).There was a significant negative correlation between the expression of apo B gene in small intestine and liver weight,( r=-0.545, P<0.05).(5) In Ningdu yellow chicken. There was a significant negative correlation between the expression of apo A-Ⅰ gene in liver and the content of TG in the serum and cholesterol content of eggs,( r=-0.583,r=-0.582, P<0.05).(6) In Anyi Wahui chicken. There was a significant negative correlation between the expression of apo A-Ⅰ gene in liver and the activity of LPS in the serum,(r=-0.583, P<0.05).There was a significant positive correlation between the expression of apo A-Ⅰ gene in liver and liver weight and abdominal fat,(r=0.591, r=0.649, P<0.05).There was a significant negative correlation between the expression of apo A-Ⅰ gene in small intestine and cholesterol content of eggs and content of TC in the serum,( r=-0.685, r=-0.616, P<0.05).The conclusions were as follows:There was significantly negative correlation between the expression of apo A-Ⅰ gene and the lipid metabolism in blood and eggs of Ningdu yellow chicken and Anyi Wahui chicken. There was significantly positive correlation between the expression of apo A-Ⅰ gene in liver and liver weight and abdominal fat. But there was no correlation between the expression of apo A-Ⅰ gene and the lipid metabolism of Taihe silky fowl. The correlation between the expression of apo B gene and the liver weight of Taihe silky fowl was significantly negative and the activity of LPS in the serum was significantly positive. And there was no correlation between the expression of apo B gene and the lipid metabolism of Ningdu yellow chicken and Anyi Wahui chicken.
