Camphor is in southwest China’s subtropical evergreen broad-leaved species, is also an important economic species, its wood, roots, leaves with high economic, ecological and cultural values.Fine root have different morphology, nutrient structures and physiological functions. It is very sensitive to changes in soil nutrients.fertilizer can promote their fine root morphology and nutrient structure of self-regulation and improvement, to promote its physiological function, protect the healthy and rapid growth of seedlings. In this study, Setting 1-year-old potted camphor seedlings as the research object, determination of the fine root morphology, biomass and nutrient indicators, investigate the effects of fertilization on camphor seedlings fine root morphology and nutrient, provide a theoretical basis for the camphor fast growing and efficient use of resources in nurturing process. Results:(1)Camphor potted seedlings average diameter of 1-5 fine root increases with root sequence variation, The average diameter of 1 fine root is a minimum, The average diameter of 5 fine root is a max.1-5 fine roots were an average diameter range: 0.35mm-0.63mm,0.45mm-0.83mm,0.66mm-1.09mm,0.92mm-1.33mm,1.26mm-1.45m m, coefficients of variation were:3.73% -8.66%3.78%-8.54%3.79%-13.99%5.86%-15.35% 8.04% -14.23% nitrogen and nitrogen fertilizer significantly increased the average diameter of a fine roots (p<0.05), while fertilization had no significant effect on the average diameter of fine roots level 2-5 (p>0.05). In the processing of nitrogen effects were:a3>b3>a2>al>b2>bl;9>8>7>6=4>5.On the whole, the effect of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer slightly better than the single application of nitrogen fertilizer.(2)Camphor potted seedlings average length of 1-5 fine root increases with root sequence variation,The average length of 1 fine root is a minimum, The average length of 5 fine root is a max.1-5 fine roots were an average length range: 0.67cm-0.95cm,1.60cm-1.85cm,1.89cm-2.13cm,3.36cm-3.61,6.08cm-6.65cm.Coeffici ents of variation were:4.37%-13.33% 5.00%-15.70%7.49% -21.12% 7.07% -20.12% 10.52% -21.73%, nitrogen and nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer significantly increased the average root length of 1 fine root (p<0.05), while no significant effect on average length of 2-5 grade fine roots(p>0.05). In a single nitrogen processing, promoting effects were a3> b3> a2=b2>al>bl;orthogonal fertilization treatment, the greater the amount of nitrogen fertilizer on root growth promoting effect is more obvious. On the whole, the effect of N+P+K fertilizer>N+P fertilizer> Single nitrogen.(3)Camphor potted seedlings average SRL of 1-5 fine root decreases with root sequence variation, The average SRL of 1 fine root is a max, The average SRL of 5 fine root is a minimum. For single fertilizer processing, only a3 and b3 two concentrations of nitrogen significantly increased the SRL of 1 fine roots(p<0.05), the remaining fertilization treatment had no significant effect on SRL (p>0.05). Orthogonal fertilization design, only 8,9 two treatment significantly increased the SRL of 1 fine root (p<0.05), the rest of treatment had no significant effect on SRL (p>0.05).(4)The biomass of treatment 6 and treatment 7 increase with root sequence variation and then decreased with root sequence variations, the biomass of 3 fine root is maximum. Other treatment biomass are rising as the root sequence increases. The biomass of 1 fine root is a minimum, The biomass of 5 fine root is a max. In single fertilizer treatment, the effects between the two forms of nitrogen:al>bl, a2>b2, a3>b3. In the 1-5 grade fine roots, the biomass increased with the upgrading of nitrogen concentration, the NO.9 fertilization on fine root biomass most significant.(5)The N, P content of fine roots decreased with the root sequence increasing, C content and C/N with root order increases. The 1 fine root N, P content was highest levels, C was the lowest; The N, P content of 5 fine root was lowest, and t C content was highest. Nitrogen significantly increased 1 fine root N content (p<0.05), Phosphate significantly increased 1 fine roots P content (p<0.05). The effect of a nitrogen fertilizer on N content of fine roots were:a3> b3> b2> a2> b1>al,phosphate concentration and P content of 1 fine root was positively correlated:c3> c2> c1.In summary, nitrogen and nitrogen fertilizer on seedling morphology Camphor has a significant role in nutrient biomass, the 9th orthogonal fertilization treatment on seedling growth-promoting effects of camphor maximum.
