With the promotion of national seed project, the seed processing of agricultural plant protection areas have higher requirements and the quality of seed coating affects the growth of seeds and seedlings. Seed-coating technique plays a vital role in agriculture. Seed coating machine is the automation means to achieve seed coated. But the survey shows that after coated the umbilical seed coverage is inadequate, seriously affecting seed development. So this paper designs a new type of seed coating machine with electrostatic atomization device to solve this problem and does related experiments and statistical research on atomization performance of the electrostatic atomization device.Based on the study of the structure and working principle of domestic and foreign seed coating machine, describe a new seed coating machine structure and working principle, with the principle of electrostatic atomization and electrostatic adsorption, who treats the seed with a double atomization device for one time and two times in atomizing chamber and auger warehouse respectively. The new electrostatic atomization device can produce charged droplets to achieve uncoated seeds secondary coating treatment and full coverage, which solves the problem of coverage deficiency of the seed umbilical and other depressed part to protect the healthy growth of the seeds.Analyze of the basic theories of the droplet atomization and establish electrostatic droplet forced model. Make a concrete analysis of the charge electricity of atomization droplet and derive the droplet charge-to-mass ratio in the critical crushing state. Through the analysis of droplet charge mode and charged droplets forces, the single and multiple droplet splitting mathematical model and the equations of motion are established to provide theoretical basis for experimental research.Build electrostatic spray experiment platform with metering pump and electrostatic generator to make electrostatic voltage experiment, droplets atomization experiment, droplets deposition characteristics experiment, droplets charged characteristics experiment. The results show that the electrostatic voltage of the best atomization effect is 25 k V. The electrostatic atomization droplets are much smaller and stronger ability to float. The floating diffusion ability of the atomization droplets is strong, and the target material is fully absorbed and the coverage density is large. The droplet charge-to-mass ratio of electrostatic spray device is 0.98μC/g, which means the charge electricity of atomization droplet is large and has the strong electrostatic adsorption capacity. The electrostatic atomization device can improve the degree of adhesion of the object and achieve the target full-adsorption, and improve the qualified rate of seeds coated by coated seed coating machine.
