Therefore, the application of Chinese herbal medicine prevention and treatment of diarrhea piglets and other diseases, received the attention of the scholars at home and broad. Sanguinarine was used as the reference, the calibration factor of gallic acid, andrographolide and chelerythrine to that of sanguinarine were calculated respectively to get each relative calibration factor and the contents of active constituents were calculated by the relative calibration, and then, the method was set up. The method for monitoring the quality of the product is effective.Acute toxicity test, mice taking LB25 concentration for a 0.38 g/ml (15.2 g/kg), the largest volume 40 ml/kg, one times per day, no obvious acute toxicity reaction.Pharmacodynamics experiment by treatment with Liaobo powder by e. coli infection of mice to verify. This part of the observed LB25, LB30, LB40, LB40-2 affect in mouse models of diarrhea caused by e. coli. Results showed that:(1) LB25, LB30, LB40, LB40-2 on the mice with diarrhea caused by e. coli has obvious inhibitory effect (2) three samples under the same dose comparison, LB40 on the inhibition of bacterial diarrhea in mice caused by e. coli is more obvious.Clinical trials, six dose groups were used to verify smartweed bo grain effect on the treatment of diarrhea piglets. Test results show that the drug dose in 226.0 mg/kg bw,113.0 mg/kg bw,56.5 mg/kg bw,28.3 mg/kg bw,14.2 mg/kg bw, has good effect for the treatment of diarrhea piglets.To sum up, Liaobo powder has remarkable effect in the prevention and treatment of diarrhea piglets, the product quality is stable, no toxic. Its good effect, will be widely used in the industry and animal husbandry for the prevention and treatment of animal diarrhea.
