Grape downy mildew is an important disease which is harmful to grape production. The occurrence and prevalence of grape downy mildew were closely related to climatic conditions. If the prevention and control is not timely, it will bring a great threat to the quality of the grape pollution-free production. In this paper, an electronic system is implemented, which can prevent and control the grape downy mildew by collect field environmental information of vineyards and automatically eliminate the necessary environment conditions of grape downy mildew. By the experiments at Heyang grape experiment demonstration station of Northwest A&F University, it proved that this system can effectively prevent the occurrence and spread of grape downy mildew. The main contents of this paper include:(1) Integrating with requirement analysis of environmental information collection and control system for grape downy mildew and technical requirements of the system implementation, we proposed an overall design idea of the system. Meanwhile, according to the design discipline of system we provided a design and implementation scheme for hardware and software part of the system, and gave a brief introduction of each function modules.(2) According to the modular design ideas, the software and hardware design of the system is realized. The environmental information collection and control system for grape downy mildew is mainly made up of two parts, one of them is environmental information collection subsystem, and the other one is monitoring and control subsystem. The environmental information collection subsystem mainly consists of environmental information collection nodes, data aggregation node and data receiving end. The monitoring and control subsystem mainly consists of monitor host and lighting device. In the aspect of system hardware, the environmental information collection node, data aggregation node and lighting device are constructed. In the system software, we achieved the environmental information collection program, data transceiver program, GSM wireless communication program and monitoring subsystem control program.(3) After the hardware and software parts of the system are implemented, the system prototype is made and the system test and field installation are carried out. At first, hardware debugging, software debugging and joint debugging of the system are carried out on the whole. Then we did exhaustive testing respectively for environmental information collection sensor, wireless transceiver module, GSM wireless communication module, relay module and several important function modules of the system to make sure that each module can work properly and stably. Finally, the system is installed at grape experiment demonstration station in Heyang.(4) We have carried out the field operation, commissioning and field application test to the system. System collected environmental data in grape planting greenhouse in the field of the relative humidity and light intensity, and carries on the prevention and control of the grape downy mildew directly. According to the actual operating conditions, we adjust the relevant parameters of the system to improve and perfect the system. At the same time, according to the system design requirements and realization of the goal, we did single factor experiments, orthogonal experiments and verification test in the field, proved that this system can effectively prevent and control the occurrence and spread of grape downy mildew, and made clear the configuration scheme which is effective and economic optimization when the system works in the field.
