Abstract/Summary:
This experiment was conducted to study the effect of oil vaccines on production performance and egg quality and serum biochemical indices of layer chickens, perfecting the residue detecting method of oil adjuvant in eggs and meat.360 1-day-old Jingfen layer chickens were allocated into 3 groups. Every group was allocated into 12 repeat. Group Ⅰ was injected oil vaccines less than 50% of recommended dose of the immune program, group Ⅱ was injected oil vaccines as the immune program, group Ⅲ was injected oil vaccines more than 50% of recommended dose of the immune program. The trial period last for 430 days. The results showed as follows: 1. The effects of oil vaccines on production performance of layer chicken. Record eggproduction, total egg weight, broken egg number every day between 140-336d and calculate average egg weight, laying rate, feed-egg ratio, death and culling rate. The results showed as follows:(1) During 140-210 d, laying rate of group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ were significantly increased compared with group Ⅲ(P<0.05), while feed-egg ratio of group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ were significantly decreased compared with group Ⅲ(P<0.05). Broken egg rate of group Ⅱ were significantly decreased compared with group Ⅰ and group Ⅲ(P<0.05). (2) During 221-336 d, feed-egg ratio of group Ⅱ were significantly decreased compared with group Ⅲ(P<0.05), broken egg rate of group Ⅱ were significantly decreased compared with group Ⅰ and group Ⅲ(P<0.05). The results suggest that oil vaccines may impact the production performance and reduce the laying rate, increase the feed-egg ratio and broken egg rate of layer chicken. 2. The effects of oil vaccines on egg quality and serum biochemical indices of layer chickens.6eggs in every repeat at 154d,175d,203d were collected randomly to measure egg weight, albumen height, Haugh units, yolk colour, egg shape index, shell strength, shell thickness, fat content, yolk cholesterol.3 chicken were chose randomly to collect 5mL blood in veins in the morning of 140d and 203d. Testing index include ALT, AST, TP, ALB, A/G, GLOB, BUN, CHOL, SOD, MDA, GSH-PX. The results showed as follows:(1) Egg shell intensity of group I and group II were significantly higher than that of group III(P<0.05).The eggshell thickness of group II was significantly higher than that of group III(P<0.05).The cholesterol of group III was significantly increased compared with group I and group III(P<0.05). (2) At 140 d, the SOD of group I and group II were significantly increased compared with group III(P<0.05), the GSH-PX of group I was significantly increased compared with group II and group III(P<0.05), the MDA of group I and group II were decreased significantly compared with group III(P<0.05). At 203 d, the SOD of group I was significantly increased compared with group III(P<0.05), the GSH-PX of group II was significantly increased compared with group III(P<0.05). The results suggest that oil vaccines may reduce the eggshell quality and antioxidation and increase the cholesterol of yolk.3、 Research on the residue dynamics of oil adjuvant in eggs and chicken。 3 eggs were collected randomly from every repeat of group II at 159d,166d,180d,201d,235d,271d to measure the residual of n-alkanes and PAHs.6 chicken were chose randomly from group II to slaughter at 280d,330d,380d,430d, collecting right wing chicken, left pectoralis, right pectoralis, left leg chicken, right leg chicken, liver, kidney to measure the residual of n-alkanes and PAHs. The results showed as follows:(1) After injecting oil vaccine as immune program several times, the mineral oil transferred to eggs is too little, which has no effect on the egg quality. The mineral oil residue time in the chicken body is long. It need about 210d withdrawal to reach the international food security standard. (2) The alkanes with smaller molecular weight of mineral oil, such as n-hexadecane, n-heptadecane, n-octadecane, are easy to metabolize and transfer to other part of chicken body. (3) The mineral oil in injection site is most after it was inject to the chicken. It transfer to other tissues and organs with more residual amount and slower eliminate rate in the liver and kidney.
