With the increasing of the planting area of Safflower in Xinjiang, the shortage of labor and the high cost of artificial picking are becoming increasingly prominent, It is imperative to mechanical harvest of safflower.The mechanine harvest of safflower difficulties: no uniform planting pattern, the traditional planting safflower regional distribution in the plains, hills and basin landform; on the biological characteristics, safflower’s balls lie in varying height, branchs grow in intricate and irregular space. It is necessary to ensure that the machine has better field adaptability and operational flexibility. It is also necessary to ensure low drop rate, high recovery rate, high efficiency and low damage rate. In this topic developed the rubber type of safflower harvest machine, using rollers elasticity to ensure filaments low damage rate, rollers worked by friction the continuity of operation to ensure efficient work and high recovery rate, harvesting machine configurations of wind conveying system makes filaments drop rate decreased.Through the study on biological characteristics and mechanical properties of safflower analysis,provide the input reference value for the whole machine design parameters. Basic physical characteristics of filaments test, measured filament length value, filament diameter value distribution in 12.3mm~24.5mm17.5mm~25.1mm, obtain filament density change rules, with a maximum density of the fourth day bloom density 2.41g/ml; filaments of different bloom days moisture rate were measured and get the moisture content change rule. Study on filaments between two rubber rollers and coefficient of friction, it is concluded that the friction angle with the variation of bloom days and the rubber wet skid resistanc are studied. Measurement and analysis of relationship of drawing force position, diameter, water content between filaments and balls.Determine the whole design scheme, in the 3D modle software to establish the layout of whloe system of safflower harvest machine; based on lightweight design concept of picking head structure design,put forward the inset piece bearing seat; by checking for bevel gears. It is proved that the feasibility of the design; according to the actual work of safflower harvest machine on the clutch of the theoretical analysis and the preload spring were designed and checked; design the centrifugal blower, and improved design according to the actual safflower harvest machine damaged fliaments phenomenon.Through theoretical analysis,establish the rollers mechanical model. Deduced when the filaments contact load and interference contact load into a certain linear relationship, rubbers without bounce displacement, through ABAQUS of assembly interference of static simulation analysis, ensure the assembly minimum interference was 0.5mm; according to the applied load of work of the springback displacement is 0, determine the maximum interference 1.5mm. The results obtained from the fieldexperiments are consistent with the design analysis, and the simulation results are in agreement with the mechanical model.Through analysis of picking device of internal flow field, design filaments picking process as jet,use DPM model to simulate filaments particle track. The simulation results show that, the handle of the internal flow field in filaments track in chaos, and escaped from the export, in order to reduce the eddy current region, in picking head add a increased diversion mouth, improved simulation results show that,track of filament, smoothly into the collecting channel.
