Jindenglong,Calyx seu fructus physalis,a commonly used Chinese herb,is the dried calyxes of physalis alkekengi L.franchetii (Mast.) Makino(Family Solanaceae).Its action was considered as clearing away heat and toxic material,relieving sore throat,dissipating phlegm, diureses and so on..It is distributed in most areas of China.Up to date,there was rarely reported about the pharmacological studies of Rhizome of Physalis alkekengi L var.franchetii and few reported about the phytochemical studies. In order to provide scientific basics for reasonablely using the medicine and search the bioactive constituents,a systematic study on chemical constituents of Rhizome of Physalis alkekengi L var.franchetii was carried out used by various chromatographers. And total extracts were tested in vitro anti-inflammatory.Compounds were isolated from the ethanolic extract of rhizome of Physalis alkekengi L var.franchetii by macroporous resin D4020. Silica gel column chromatography,Sephadex chromatopraphy and HPLC separation technique and their structures were identified by the data of physics,and chemistry and spectrum. The structures of2compounds including one flavonoid and one phenolic were identified as quercetin and ferulic acid.Essential oils in rhizome of Physalis alkekengi L var.franchetii were extracted with steam distillation and were analysed with GC-MS. Through retrieving the computer, analysing artificial spectrum and checking chromatographic peak mass spectrometry lobes diagram.22compounds were identified, which represented94%of the total GC peak area of the volatile oil. The main components are n-Hexadecanoic acid n-Hexadecanoic acid,ethyl ester;n-Hexadecanoic acid, methyl ester;9-Octadecenamide,(z)-;6,9-Octadecadienoic acid,methyl ester; Cycloisolongifolene,8,9-dehydro-9-formyl-;Solavetivone; Hexadecenoicacid(E-11)-;2(3H)-Furanone,5-do-decyl-dihydro-; Aromadendrene oxide-(2).To extract polysaccharides from rhizome of Physalis alkekengi L var.franchetii,by water extraction and alcohol precipitation method, polysaccharide was refined by different concentrations of ethanol and alcohol precipitation classification system, through Sephadex (Sephadex G-200) chromatography to obtain two homogeneous polysaccharide (PⅠ、PⅡ). homogeneous polysaccharide purity and molecular weight determination were used high performance liquid chromatography; monosaccharide composition were used pre-column derivatization HPLC method. Obtain two kinds of homogeneous polysaccharide (PⅠ、PⅡ), Peak molecular weights were211257D and109441D, The Weight-A.M.W (Mw) were223934D and79693D, The Number-A.M.W (Mn) were330156D and172900D, The distribution width (Mw/Mn) were1.47435and2.16959; Homogeneous polysaccharide P i are composed of mannose, glucuronic acid, galacturonic acid, glucose, galactose, xylose, arabinose (1.00:13.87:6.70:44.97:12.62:8.35:3.88); Homogeneous polysaccharide PⅡ are composed of mannose, rhamnose, glucuronic acid, glucose, galactose, arabinose(1.00:2.55:2.06:7.04:3.11:1.62). homogeneous polysaccharides PⅠ and PⅡ structure. were analyzed by partial acid hydrolysis, methylationanalysis, ultraviolet spectrum, infrared spectrum and13C NMR.The ethanolic extract of rhizome of Physalis alkekengi L var.franchetii possessed the obvious antiflammatory effect and had the inhibitory action both on the the foot swelling of rats induced by carrageenin and on auricle edema of mice induced by xylene, and inhibitory action on analgesic action of mice.
