Objective:1. Test the Kyn/Trp ratio of pre-eclampsia minor, pre-eclampsia severe, and eclampsia inpregnant women at different time points.2. Evaluate the use of the Kyn/Trp ratio as the reference index to support theHypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy (HDPC) diagnosis. Methods: Selected47(total) Cesarean delivery participants to measure the fasting bloodplasma after24hours,72hour, and5days in pregnant women with pre-eclampsia(16) minor,pre-eclampsia severe(24), and eclampsia(7) to test the proportion of kynurenine (KYN),Tryptophan (TRP), their metabolites, and the Kyn/Trp ratio by using the high-performanceliquid chromatography(HPLC) method. Results: The blood serum Kyn/Trp ratio in pre-eclampsia minor is0.20, with a standarddeviation of0.03; the blood serum Kyn/Trp ratio in pre-eclampsia severe is0.18, with astandard deviation of0.02; and the blood serum Kyn/Trp ratio in eclampsia is0.07, with astandard deviation of0.01. These results are meaningful because Kyn/Trp ratio is less thanthe p-value, which is equal to0.05. In addition, the maximum F value in the eclampsiacategory and the Kyn/Trp ratio are most sensitive. The Kyn/Trp ratio in pre-eclampsiaminor and pre-eclampsia severe steeper than in eclampsia, but there is not any cleardifference between the two of them.Conclusion:1. Kyn/Trp Ratio will become more valuable and sensitive monitoring index forhypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy analysis.2. Kyn/Trp ratio declines smoother and slower under the severer hypertensive disordercomplicating pregnancy condition, and turns weaker after the pregnant prognosis.
