Study Of Correlation Between Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia With Acute Urinary Retention In Patients Age, Prostate Volume And PSA Level

Objective: To observe and investigate the relationship of age, prostatevolume, prostate specific antigen in benign prostate hyperplasiacomplicated with acute urinary retention, and summarize the age,prostate volume and PSA factors in predicting clinical significance acuteurinary retention in patients with BPH.Methods: Collect the clinical data of BPH patients in84cases from March2011to March2012in Department of Urology of Affiliated Hospital ofQinghai University, and according to whether the patients complicatedwith acute urinary retention can be divided into two groups：BPH is notacute urinary retention groups based on the presence or absence ofacute urinary retention(53) is set to group1, BPH and acute urinaryretention group (31cases) is set to the second group.Comparisonbetween the two groups of age, prostate volume, PSA has significantdifference, and the correlation between age and prostate volume, PSAdata statistics and analysis.Results:1) Ages of groups of acute urinary retention with or withoutcomplication of acute urinary retention group were (73.39±7.24) yearsold (63.43±9.07) years old; prostate volume (68.98±9.56）and(58.12±10.70)ml; PSA were (4.91±3.75) ng/ml (3.09±2.92) ng/ml,afterstatistics process, age, prostate volume and PSA differences betweenthe two groups, p<0.01.2) PSA comparison between the AUR groupwith concurrent AUR group two groups,p<0.01;3) Age and the volume ofprostate have a strong positive correlation (r=0.874); prostate volume and PSA have a positive correlation (r=0.616); age and serum PSAlevel is positive correlation (r=0.589).Conclusion:The older, the larger the volume of the prostate, the greaterPSA level, the higher the greater the probability of acute urinaryretention；there have certain associated with BPH complicated with AURabout age, TPV, PSA，it can be uses as prediction index of BPHcomplicated with AUR; Age, prostate volume PSA between any two ofeach index is positively correlated with increasing age, prostate volumegradually increasing serum PSA level increased gradually with increasedprostate volume and serum PSA levels higher.
