Objective: The treatment of all kinds of refractory wound is always a difficult clinicalproblem, such as Diabetic bedsore, chronic ulcer, large area skin and soft tissue defect.Traditional treatment is debridement and dressing treatment which need more time andenergy, but some wounds even become an incurable disease, which bring huge pain to patients’physiological and psychological. In recent years, there have been reports that it is successful tousing the Sealing Drainage technology technology cure all kinds of refractory wounds.Since January2011,there are30cases of refractory wounds in our hospital used bye VSDtechniques. To investigation the clinical effect of Vacuum Sealing Drainage(VSD) technologyin the treatment of refractory wounds.Methods:60patients with refractory wounds were treated through surgical debridement,and those were divided into two groups. The treatment group was provided with VSDtreatment, while the control group received conventional treatment. After4weeks, the clinicaleffects of the two groups were assessed by the curative effect and the satisfaction of patientswith treatment.Results: After4weeks, there were24patients cured in the treatment group, the cure ratewas80.0%. But only5cases cured in the control group, the cure rate was16.7%. Differenceswere evaluated by the Wilcoxon test, u=5.921, P <0.01, the clinical curative effects of thetreatment group is significantly higher than the control group; and statistics indicate thatsatisfaction of patients in the treatment group is also obviously higher than the controlgroup(u=2.850, P<0.01).Conclusions: VSD can completely remove the wound secretions and necrotic tissue,which have markedly clinical curative effects and easy to operate, easy to master. So VSDtechnology worthy of clinical application.
